Our Mission

We connect the top leaders of today and tomorrow in a dynamic forum of exchange.

The Harvard College Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR) was founded in 1991 to create a forum of exchange for students and young professionals to discuss and learn about the most important economic, political, and social issues facing the Asia-Pacific region. Since 1991, HPAIR has organized 49 conferences in 34 different host countries, touching the lives of more than 40,000 students and young professionals.

This portal

Who can join the alumni portal?
Any past HPAIR delegate. Register with the email address you used for the conference so other delegates recognize you.
I've forgotten my password.
On the sign-in screen, choose Forgot password? and enter your email. You'll get a secure reset link. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive within a few minutes.
Who can see my profile?
Only signed-in alumni. Your name, headshot, class year, role, location, bio and industries appear in the directory so other delegates can find you. Everything is optional. You choose what to fill in, and you can edit or clear it at any time from Edit my profile.
Can I share a job or an opportunity?
Yes. Every alum can post to the Career Hub. Add a title, organization, description, an application link and an optional closing date, and it is visible to everyone signed in to the portal right away. You can edit or delete anything you posted.
Can I add photos from the conference I attended?
Yes. In the Conference tab, choose Submit your photos and pick one or more images. They go to the HPAIR team for review and join the library once approved.

HPAIR conferences

What is the HPAIR Conference?
The HPAIR Harvard Conference offers a wide variety of events. We have many sessions with leading speakers, which typically include a moderated conversation with our team and time for audience questions. Executive seminars are available as an additional add-on, allowing delegates to share an intimate conversation with a speaker in small group settings over lunch. We also offer our Impact Challenge, which remains one of our most popular events, providing delegates with the opportunity to work on real-world problems in small teams and mentored by industry professionals. Lastly, we have a wide range of community events for the delegates, from networking sessions to I-Night, where delegates have the opportunity to showcase their talents on an international stage.
How do I apply for an HPAIR conference?
HPAIR's conference delegate application process has two rounds. The first is an online application, which can be found at apply.hpair.org. The application requires you to attach a resume and answer a few short-answer questions. If you are selected for the next round of applications, you will either be asked to submit a video interview, or have a brief online (Zoom) interview with a HPAIR staff member.
How do I join the HPAIR team or volunteer?
Only currently enrolled Harvard College students may apply to join the HPAIR team.
Does HPAIR provide recommendation letters to delegates?
Due to the short nature and the high number of delegates at our conferences, we are unable to provide recommendation letters to individual delegates. While we believe individualized recommendation letters are important, we do not believe our team is adequately prepared to speak for each delegate's personal abilities and potential.

The portal is open to every past delegate.

Register with the email address you used for the conference. It takes about a minute.
